In NYC Mayor Bloomberg wanted to pass a soda ban. Pretty much you wouldn't be able to buy 32oz sugary drink. The law didn't work out. The talk of the sugar ban brings up the fact that, “60% of adults in New York State are
either overweight or obese,” and in the, “U.S. children and adolescents 2 to 19
years of age has tripled over the past two decades.” (New York State
Department of Health) The hope is that it will reduce illness and
death related to obesity and the expense that goes with it. Since that didn't work out, there is now commercials on television on what it means to drink sugar. I personally think it's more effective than telling someone no you can't have it. I'll let you be the judge.
What do you think?
